Lessons from the Am Law 100

Kent Zimmermann of Zeughauser Group will present a summary of key takeaways and conclusions that can be drawn from the most recent Am Law 100 results, set for release in May 2011.  In his talk, Kent will identify trends that the data suggest and explain what the results portend for the balance of 2011 and beyond, in areas such as profitability, headcount, staffing, use of alternative legal services providers, geographic implications, international growth, and more.  He will also explain other important indicators of the industry’s performance, including trends in client spending on legal services.  In addition, he will offer an insider’s view to recent law firm merger activity and predictions on the shape likely future activity will take.  Lastly, he will identify five of the most important drivers of success of high performing law firms, based on a Zeughauser Group analysis of the financial performance of a select group of leading law firms.
