Bruce knows firsthand the challenges of charting a course, building consensus, sustaining focus, and finding innovative solutions to the often unpredictable challenges that separate market-leading firms from the rest of the pack. His practice focuses on U.S. and international growth planning at the firmwide, sector, geographic, and practice levels. Bruce also offers effective counsel on a host of management and governance issues—from strategic planning to financial performance, succession planning, compensation systems, practice management, pricing and staffing models, diversity, talent development, recruiting, and combination integration.
Bruce is a frequent speaker on topics related to law firm management and growth. He also speaks and writes on the issue of law firm diversity, expanding on his firm’s leadership in this area.
In addition to his law firm experience, Bruce is involved in both professional and community service initiatives. He is a member and past president of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law Board of Visitors; a member of the Georgetown University Law Center Board of Visitors, receiving its inaugural Dean’s Award for Distinguished Service in 2007; former chair of the annual Lawyers Have Heart Race in Washington, D.C.; and former Executive Committee member for the Federal City Council. He also served on the Corporate Board of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
